By: Taylor_Blue on: Mon 14 of May, 2007 [14:44 UTC] (1588 reads)

When my daughter comes home from school she is always hungry. Here are some quick microwave after school snacks they can eat without ruining their supper.

PIZZA MINIS

Any kind of cracker you prefer

Pizza sauce (small can)

Pepperoni slices

Mozzarella cheese (shredded)

Top each cracker with pizza sauce. Put the pepperoni and cheese on top of the cracker. Place the finished crackers on a plate. Microwave on HIGH for 20 seconds. Turn and microwave for 20 seconds more.

NACHO CRAZY

½ bag of Nacho chips

1 (16 oz) bag of shredded cheese (I like the Monterey Jack,

Colby and Cheddar mix)

Place nacho chips on a plate and cover with cheese. Place plate in microwave for 2 minutes on MEDIUM. (After making this a couple of times you may want to change the amount of time the chips are in the microwave.)

CHEEZY TORTILLAS

Flour Tortillas

Shredded cheese (1/4 cup for each tortilla)

Thinly sliced apple pieces

Put tortilla on a plate. Place a few pieces of apple slices on tortilla and sprinkle with cheese. Microwave until cheese melts. Roll tortilla and eat. Be careful it will be hot.

CHEEZY PEANUT BUTTER CRACKERS

Saltine crackers

Peanut butter

Cheese Slices

Cut the cheese slice into for squares. Spread peanut butter onto the cracker. Then put the cheese on top of the peanut butter. Place another cracker on top of the cheese. Place crackers on plate. Microwave for about 20 seconds so the cheese and peanut butter start to melt.

CHEESE CRISPS

Cheese Slices

Parchment Paper

Put the cheese slice onto the parchment paper. Put it into the microwave until crisp. Take cheese of the parchment paper. Dip into spinach dip. (For a healthier version use low fat slices)
