Preschool children love to run around. They are beginning to test their physical strengths. They really like to be challenged to ride tricycles, use their finger control and to build things. Toys that are great for this age group are books, wooden trains and outdoor toys like swings and slides.

This holiday season there are a couple of great toys that can also help your Preschooler develop these abilities too.

My Little Pony So Soft Newborn Pinkie (Hasbro, $15.72 @ Walmart.com) Ages 3+

She is a sweet pony-a newborn who needs extra special care, that only your preschooler can give! Rock her and she'll talk. She says things like 'I'm sleepy', 'Will you rock me?' and 'I love you'. Includes: a pacifier and 3 AAA batteries.

Matchbox Mega Rigs: Wrecking Rig (Mattel, $19.99 @ Target) Ages 4-7

Your child will be able to get any job done with this great Wrecking Rig. They can combine and then re combine the pieces a different way. It also transforms into a wrecking crane with a ball that make a crashing sound on impact. Includes: a man and 3 AG13 batteries.

Gorilla Blocks: 50 pc Jumbo Set (Jakks Pacific, $54.99 @ Target) Ages 3+

These blocks are a lot of fun because they are foam and oversized. They are good to play with inside or outside. They are lightweight, very durable and non toxic. The blocks interlock so you can help your child develop weird shapes. Includes: a mesh bag for storage.

Fisher Price Digital Camera (1.3 MegaPixels?, Pink or Blue, $54.88 @ Walmart.com) Ages 3+ (Watch Demoexternal link)

This camera is almost indestructible. It can be dropped and won't break. It features a large LCD preview screen and memory space that can hold 60 pictures. It has two-eye viewing, which makes it easier to look through the viewfinder. The screen can also show you the pictures you took...just like a real digital camera. Includes: 8MB built in memory, USB cord for computer connection (Compatible with Windows 2000/ME/XP/Vista and Mac), Auto-flash. Needs: 4 AA Batteries.

Smart Cycle Physical Learning Arcade System (Fisher Price, $89.99 @ Toys R Us.com) Ages 3-6 (Watch Demoexternal link)

This is a perfect system for parents who want their children to be more active. Just connect the bike to your TV's A/V jack, put in a software cartridge (about $19.99) and you are off to the races. Your child must pedal and steer to keep the game going. The games they have for the system cover topics like letters, numbers, shapes and colors. Includes: one game cartridge. Needed: 4 D Batteries.

Fisher Price Light Sketcher ($24.99 @ Toys R Us) Ages 3+ (Watch Demoexternal link)

It's a Toys R Us exclusive, the large Light Sketcher lets children use the magic of light to draw. The drawing will fade in 45 seconds. Includes: 25 stencils. Needs: 4 AA Batteries.
