Type-A Mom is currently hiring mom editors for a variety of topics of interest to moms. Official Type-A Mom editors receive 100% of Adsense revenue for the article embed ads like all Type-A Mom writers do, but they also get some great fringe benefits such as a free banner ad in the sitewide rotation. Editors are also featured on the main page for their topics.

Type-A Mom Category Editor Requirements

The requirements for an editor are simply to post two articles monthly on your mom topic. You can also post articles on other topics as well, so long as your main topic requirements are completed. A typical article is between 400 and 600 words, and provides tips and your unique mom experience and insight. It's as simple as that.

What Mom Editors Get

  • 100% share of Google Adsense impressions for the ad embedded in the top right of their articles
  • 100 percent of affiliate revenue through text linking in article body (for example, linking the title of a book you mention in an article to Amazon and getting commission if someone buys it)
  • 100 percent of revenue through affiliate banner ads displayed in their section
  • Extra exposure for their profile and articles with a link and photo on the main topic page.
  • Training in web writing and SEO
  • Inclusion on the Type-A Moms Twitter list
  • Access to review products

I am interested in a position with your company. I have 15 years experience as
the wife of the same man, as we have been blessed with an unusually good
marriage. It has not been without its challenges, but we have been successful
in handling a wide variety of life challenges. We have 3 children, 13yo girl,
11yo girl, and 7yo boy. We have home schooled all three, and as you can see by
the ages and genders of these chidren, have experienced a myriad of challenges.
Girls are emotionally draining, boys are physically draining, so I understand
why moms are so tired all the time. I know what its like to try and talk to the
girls while little brother is jumping around naked in the background trying to
be a superhero. I also know how it feels to hear the constant "she hurt my
feelings" and deal with all the tears of pre-teen, and now early teenage
girls. All this while the cats are being chased by the dog, the dog is be...

Becky Quarles 2008-03-17 11:46:00

My name is Becky. I am a mother of 6. Two by chance and four by love. I have
been in the process of adopting a sibling group of four children for two years
now.

We have children that range in the ages of 13b, 12g, 11b, 9b, 8g, 7g.
No twins, but at times i have at least ones set that are the same age. It is
very interesting trying to figure it all out some days.

I am a business owner
of a donut shop, and I also work from home as an at home operator. I am also
the wife of a youth pastor. We have been married for 15 years this summer.

Hi, my name is Tracy Gaudet and I am very intersted in becoming a Mom
editor. I am a stay at home mama who is ridiculouly passionate about
my two kids ( Alexander 4yrs and Bridget 7 mnths). my two babies are
like day and night, Alex is an outgoing very easy to care for kinda guy
while Bridget some may call "spirited". I have been to both
sides of the parenting spectrum and lived to tell the tale. Please let me
know if you have anything for me. Thanks, Tracy

My name is Christina. I'm interested in becoming an editor. Professionally, I am
a graphic designer and public relations professional.

Personally, I have a 10
month old and because I'm a journalist and a little OCD I have devoured
information on parenting. Simply, I don't like unanswered questions and
parenting opens the floodgate to questions. Writing after everyone has gone to
bed is my saving grace. One article a week is completely manageable. I look
forward to hearing from you.

My name is Jessica and I would love to become a mom editor. I was previously a
highschool history teacher, but left the profession to have a baby. My son is 6
months old and is the best thing that ever happened in my life. My husband and
I both come from large families (8 kids) as my son is the 14th grandchild so I
have lots of experience dealing with a variety of children and have been blessed
to observe many different parenting styles. I love to travel and have already
vacationed with my six month old. I absolutely love to write, learn, and
research about new things. I would love the challenge of writing articles
because I feel that my life is lacking intellectual stimulation. I would enjoy
passing on my experiences and knowledge in exchange for advice from other
mothers.

I am interested in becoming a Mom Editor for the category of Single Moms.
I
personally have experienced that difficult road and faced the challenges that it
presents.
Believe me, being a single mom and having to do everything for
yourself, makes you a stronger individual and much more able to stand on your
own two feet.
I would love to be able to share my knowledge, tips and lessons
learned with others who may be single moms.

Hello,

I am interested in being an Editor for the Kids/Crafts
position.

I am a mother to two beautiful girls ages 10 and 7 years. I
am a wife, a 6th grade reading teacher and a veteran of the United
States Army. I have my Masters degree in Elementary Education and a
Bachelors in Foreign Language Education for French.

I have
traveled quite extensively both before and during my military career
not only in our great country but across Europe as well.

I love
teaching, I am a good writer, and I am good at research. I
believe with my background as a mom, teacher and a veteran, I have the
experience and personality to be a good writer for this topic. When I set
my mind to something, I stick to it and am not afraid to try to
succeed at things that others may not attempt. Like going into the army at
age 32 yrs!  :-) And...I am n...

I am a homeschooling mom who is planning to do some traveling throughout the
year for learning. I recently posted part one of our mobile learning experience.
Part Two of our trip will be up tomorrow. Included in that post will be our
experience (and boy was it an experience) at the opening of the California
Academy of Science in San Francisco.

If that doesn't do it for you, then I'll
write about my flying lessons and my accidental mullets!

I would like to be editor for 2 topics I do no see listed: women's
fitness/health and domestic violence. I have been weight training daily at a
local gym since January 2002, and in 2006 got my Personal Trainer Certification
from American Muscles and Fitness. I was also in a verbally & physically abusive
marriage for 12 years.
I feel women would greatly benefit from reading about
these 2 very important issues.

Oops, I see that you already have a Twins/Multiples editor, as well as a Big
Families editor! Scratch that suggestion, how about Expat Moms (challenges of
living in a foreign country) or MultiEthnic Moms (mixed race families or mixed
religion families -- or is that what the Blended Families category is)? I'm
both!

Editor positions available
Susan King 2009-04-01 07:05:45

I am very interested in two positions that you have available. My children are
12 and 9 and have been to about 10 countries, on 5 cruises and have had many RV
trips so I think I could qualify for the Family Vacations Editor. On the other
hand, my son is soon to be a full-blown teenager in 3 months and I also work
with 5th-8th graders teaching science. So I have plenty of experience with them
too!
I would love to hear from you about either position.
