Autumn can be a time for learning and fun Fall activities. In many places throughout the world, nature is at its best, showing us the many colors and splendor of the world. For me, it is a time of new beginnings. The smell of new clothes, back packs and pencils is prevalent, as well as burning leaves, freshly dug up Mums and pumpkin and apple scents in every home.

The Anti-Tax Tea Parties were a huge success in the eyes of many conservatives. Even some liberals joined in on the events because they are realizing the Obama administration is not adequately representing them. However, the dialogue between most conservatives and liberals is getting less constructive and more combative due to a lack of respect that originates on the liberal side.
According to the Obameter by PolitiFact Obama made 512 promises over the course of his campaign. Two new ones have been uncovered since my last article changing the total from 510 to 512.

While on the campaign trail Presidential candidate Obama made over 500 promises. Now that he's President Obama and has had just over a month in office let's take a look at some of the things he's done (or not done as the case may be).

I'm a Republican married to a Democrat. We get along pretty well, but sometimes when it comes to politics we have some crazy arguments! Along the way I've discovered that if we keep a few points in mind we can usually have a civil discussion rather than a shouting match where feelings get hurt.
Whenever we are talking about politics the labels Liberal and Conservative usually come up. Sometimes they are used simply as labels, but more often than not they're used as insults. Never is this more true than in an election year like the one we just had. I consider myself a Conservative, but honestly I was not sure what the true meaning of the word was until I started doing some research.
I've written a couple of articles for Conservative Moms now so I guess it's probably time to introduce myself! My name is Krista and I generally think of myself as a Conservative (more on that later!). I live in Eastern Washington State, which is worlds apart from Seattle both in lifestyle and politics!
