Teen Moms
I became a Mom when I was 17. I was NOT ready. But I did. I had no idea what I was doing during my pregnancy, and had even less of an idea what I was going to do once I brought a baby home. I was scared.
I had my first son Austin at the ripe age of 17. I know how it is to have everyone talk about you and whisper behind you back as you pass them in the local walmart. I had to grow up, but I did it because I wanted to be the best mom that I could be. I want to give young mother's some advice.
Teen Parenting: it comes with all the trials and tribulations of parenting alone and adds a few of its own along the way. There are the glares to dodge in the grocery store and on the sidewalk, there are still homework assignments to complete and tests to pass. There are undoubtedly relationships to nurture, and now money to make on top of it all. There is much to learn in a short period of time when one finds herself in the position of becoming a teen mom.
